Bill Placke

Bill Placke has more than 25 years experience in international technology and Multi-System Operators in the US and Europe. Bill has been a C-suite executive team for three venture-backed technology companies that achieved positive return exits for the venture capital funds. Most recently, Bill was EVP of Corporate Development at venture-backed SaaS and Cloud company StratusWorX that was sold to Ericsson, Inc. in August 2020.  At Liberty Global, Inc. he led ILEC and CLEC roll-ups across Eastern and Western Europe and was part of the Investments Committee. Bill began his career in New York working as a Corporate attorney focusing on venture capital and IPOs for Roberts, Sheridan & Kotel (now Dickstein, Shapiro) before joining the cross-border mergers and acquisition and venture capital practice in Amsterdam and London of global law firm Clifford Chance. Bill is member of the Board of ToughBuilt Industries (Nasdaq: TBLT) and Chairman of the Compensation Committee and has served on the Board and Observer for companies across Europe and the US. Bill holds a BS in Business Administration from the University of Dayton, a Juris Doctor from St. John’s University School of Law and a Diploma in European Union Law from King’s College London.
