The field of wireline and wireless infrastructure communications continues to grow with many new and exciting opportunities in front of us. Terms such as “HetNet”, “Internet of Things” and “Big Data” are common expressions we all hear about and are experiencing. Everyone within our industry is playing a role in transforming our network. GlenMartin sees their role as an project manager who can lead the charge in solving some of our most challenging problems facing network expansion. A project well managed will define the future of our network ecosystem.
Our primary central efforts center around “project management” within the field of telecom infrastructure and transportation infrastructure development. This may include bulk inspections, bulk modifications, general maintenance, lease reviews, network planning, bulk site development, roadway Information Transportation Systems “ITS”, road weather information system “RWIS”, project bench marking, technical scoping and larger scope projects. Site development as we understand it means all things related to establishing an operating and functioning communication facility. Emphasis will be placed on smaller scope projects with larger over all bulk visits to sites. Smaller scope will allow us to define the process closely and enable us optimize visits. We have always had a deep sense of understanding of the communication facility, however 2017 will bring new opportunities to our organization in management of these facilities.
GlenMartin continues to support products but will primarily focus on production run opportunities. We search for larger production run opportunities and seek to grow a select number of products historically built by the company with production run opportunities. This approach will involve reduction of many SKU’s and the addition of some new SKU’s to our organization. Our products will be supported by a distributor sales channel to market rather than a direct channel to market approach.
GlenMartin’s heightened awareness of actual field operations gives them an advantage in integrating these approaches into project management process. Heightening our awareness of the facility, its function and its engagement with the surroundings is critical to finding success. GlenMartin expands on this element of management via our “ALTAWERK” field management platform. ALTAWERK integrates with GlenMartin approaches and seeks to heighten awareness and understanding surrounding the environmental, technical and physical difficulties surrounding workforce management.

We believe it will take several years to perfect these traits within our organization. The challenge for 2017 is “can we grow”. Collaboration is one of our highly desired qualities. So much more can be accomplished as a team than by ourselves. Henry Ford figured this out. He most notably said: “Coming together is the beginning, keeping together is progress; working together is success”. Today we have so many distractions that divide us and prevent us from truly collaborating. GlenMartin will seek to collaborate as a team.
Our final and most important quality is Humility. This quality is the glue that holds us together as an organization. As they say, “Dream Big, Work Hard, and Stay Humble”. It’s not easy to do but it’s the quality that will define us as an organization. Humility is not a weak quality but rather a very strong quality that requires confidence and self-balance. GlenMartin will push hard in 2017 to establish these qualities in everything we do and push hard from within our organization to envelop these traits.
Our Addison Texas-based “Project Management” team is excited to usher in another year as an industry leader. We realize the networks we build are changing our lives and writing a new chapter in history.
